Omsk Chamber Orchestra
about the orchestra
The modern Omsk Chamber Orchestra was preceded by the creation of a chamber group of musicians from the Omsk Symphony Orchestra in 1974 The initiators and leaders of the group were Honored Artist of Russia Garry Petrenko and Mikhail Kugel, a laureate of international competitions, From the first days of its existence outstanding Russian conductors - Iurii Kramarov, Lev Markiz - worked with the orchestra. Cooperation with Moscow conductor Iurii Nikolaevskii, with whose participation the orchestra prepared about 50 concert programs, played a great role in its formation. In 1989, the orchestra temporarily ceased to exist due to the departure of its leaders abroad.

In 1991 the Omsk Chamber Orchestra was headed by Veniamin Renkonchinskii, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia.

The Omsk Chamber Orchestra performs music of various epochs, genres and styles: from ancient classics by Bach and Händel to modern opuses by Schnittke, Heifetz, Murov, Tabakova, Fleischer and Shchedrin, from ballet and opera overtures to jazz. The group boldly undertakes the interpretation of works that have been created for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. This quality determines its creative versatility and individuality. Grigorii Vever has become the Chief Conductor of the Omsk Chamber Orchestra since 2019.

"Laces are born from under the bows of the musicians, they convey the smell of flowers, ether - all delicate and airy"
Such a review of the work of the Omsk Chamber Orchestra was given by the newspaper "Vechernii Omsk". The aspiration to pack the musical stuffing into a non-traditional concert form, to introduce elements of theatricalization, to combine music with other kinds of art - that is what distinguishes the concert programs of the Omsk Chamber Orchestra. The activity of the group can be compared to a creative laboratory, where there is always room for daring musical experiments, realization of the most interesting ideas, and constant search for a special performing style.

Baroque Masterpieces
Conductor G. Vever
The word "baroque" is supposedly derived from the Portuguese "peroIa barroca" - "irregularly shaped pearl" and the Italian "barocco" - "bizarre, strange". At first, it did not denote the style of the era at all, but was only an evaluative category - a negative nickname for "incomprehensible" art. The Baroque era influenced architecture, painting, sculpture and, of course, music.

The program of the Omsk Chamber Orchestra "Baroque Masterpieces" will feature works by the great masters of European musical art of the 17th and 18th centuries: I. S. Bach, A. Corelli, A. Vivaldi, G. F. Händel. Listeners will be able to enjoy both popular and rarely performed works of early music.

DJ Orchestra Show
A mix of classics, electronic music and light effects - all this is "DJ Orchestra Show" - a grand project of the Omsk Chamber Orchestra under the direction of maestro Grigorii Vever. The exclusive program was created in collaboration with DJ, composer and producer Aleksandr Smolenskii (DJ SVAT, aka DJ Alex Sadman). The 21st century requires music to be technologically advanced: electronic sound effects expand the scale of the orchestra's sound.

The "DJ Orchestra Show" is the sound of "electronics" accompanied by "live" instruments of a chamber orchestra. According to the creators of the program, the secret of such an effect is in the combination of two forms of instrumental music – a traditional concert and a rave. Different in style, they express common emotions, expressive elements: sensual passages of strings are encrusted with shimmering glitches and hardware noises with jewelry precision. Especially for this program a light show was created to enhance the magic of the music.

DJ Svat is known on the world DJ scene as music producer Alex Sadman. Holder of the nomination "Best Scratch DJ" (Siberian festival Mix-Fight Maximum 2004), first place at the "Scratch Master 2006" (Siberian festival DJ 2006), founder of the music label "Scratch style brothers". He has performed at concert venues in 20 cities of Russia and 10 cities of near and far abroad.

The premiere date of the concert program "DJ Orchestra Show" is October 15, 2023. The concert was a great success with the Omsk public and was repeated several times.

Music. Dark. Experience
A transcendental immersion into the music of Bach, Brahms, Corelli, Grieg, Fauré, Debussy, Ravel, Massenet and Mascagni.
A concert in the dark is an opportunity to absorb the classics with every cell. It allows you not only to hear, but also to feel the music - it gives you a pass to the world of dreams. Darkness, fanciful images created by special lighting effects envelop the space of the hall and everything around acquires a completely special sound... Music and twilight are a truly magical combination!

The night shrouds the world in a veil of mystery. The explicit and rational at this time of day gives way to sensations, illusions, dreams....
